Great Expectations

Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not (James 4:2).

It’s a tragic thing to go through life with no expectations, hence, an unfulfilled and fruitless life. Because Jesus loves us, is why we should approach everything in life with great expectations and without fear.  The Bible tells us that we have not because we ask not (James 4:2). We put limits on God based on our limited thinking capacity. If we can’t for see something evolving, then we won’t ask God to bless us. For example, if you can’t see yourself being able to financially sustain a big house, then you won’t attempt to ask God to bless you with a bigger house. God can bless you with a career that will allow you to afford the cost of a bigger home. Many people, out of ignorance make the mistake of saying, “I am happy with the little house and car God has blessed me with,” First of all, God’s blessings shouldn’t be categorized as little. Secondly, you’re implying that God can only do so much. So when you put limits on a limitless God, don’t expect Him to move on your behalf and don’t hate on the next person when He sees fit to bless them in abundance because they trusted Him.

God is the owner and the creator of the entire universe. And everything in it belongs to Him. He has a mass of unlimited supplies. However, God works on faith. We have to be one-hundred percent confident in God that HE CAN do anything and just because He doesn’t that does not mean that He can’t. If we delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4), thus, means to put him first and make Him apart of every aspect of your life: family, career, day-to-day tasks etc. So, when you ask God for something, make sure you have aligned yourself with His word and EXPECT HIM to move on your behalf.

Remember ladies, even Jesus has great expectations for us, thus He left heaven to die on the cross for our sins so that we might have life more abundantly (John 10:10).

XOXO,

Jay

A Man Beyond Your Dreams

Every woman wants to be loved by the opposite sex. We will go to the ends of the world to look for love in all the wrong places, only to end up with our heart in broken pieces and to no avail, still feeling lonely and unloved. The type of love that we search for cannot be sought. It’s a type of love that can fill a void in our hearts that no man can fill, regardless of how much a man loves us. It’s Jesus’ love. His love is innocent, without limits, everlasting, long-suffering, and fulfilling. There are not enough words in the world dictionary to describe His infinite love for us. When we stop looking for love in all the wrong places and decide to fall in love with Jesus, we will come to understand our worth, because we realize that His love is perfect and genuine. We will learn that the love we have been searching for this whole time, only exist in the man beyond our dreams #Jesus. And Jesus’ love comes with guaranteed benefits:
  •  Jesus opens doors for you ….. I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name (Rev 3:8).
  • Jesus always thinks good thoughts about you…. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jer 29:11).
  • Jesus promises to always love you and not even death can separate you from Him… For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom 8:38:39).
  •   Jesus promises to provide for you … But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19).
  •  Jesus promises to never leave you… Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (Deut 31:6).
  •  Jesus is a man that has died for you… For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit (1 Pet 3:18).
  •  Jesus promises to protect you… Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness (Is 41:10).
  •  Jesus doesn’t bring up your past mistakes For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Heb 8:12).

What more could a girl ask for?

Remember to smile ladies, because Jesus LOVE YOU.

A Nasty Woman’s Disease

A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones (Prov. 14:30).

When you are peaceful and content, it literally does your body good (www.shape.com); however, when you’re unhappy and disgruntled, it brings on many challenges, such as, envy, which is detrimental to one’s physical and mental well-being. Envy is defined as emulating, coveting, having an ill will or detraction, and a fervent indignation towards another person.

Envy is like a cancerous disease that spreads throughout every part of your life, affecting anything and anyone in your path. When you are envious of another woman, you will dislike her for no reason at all. You will make every effort a competition. You will pursue every opportunity to bring her down, whether it’s with your words or your actions. Because you’re so busy hating on or trying to emulate the next woman, you miss out on life’s opportunities that God brings your way. You are completely oblivious to all the blessings that God has bestowed upon you because you’re so diligent in trying to persuade others not to like her as well. When you have become so inundated with trying to throw another woman off her course, you will stunt your growth into becoming the woman that God has intended you to be.

Envy starts off as a small seed, but then it cultivates into stages. Following are some of the stages and symptoms of envy:

1.     Ungrateful and always complaining
2.     Comparing yourself to other women
3.     Always talking about or against other women
4.     Working ill intent against another woman

Remember ladies, be grateful and content for who you are and where you are. And if that’s not good enough, then do something to change your circumstances or behavior. Because hating on another woman for who she is or what she has will get you nowhere fast.

Jay

Bitches Don’t Go to Heaven

For [heaven] without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosover loveth and maketh a lie (Rev 22:15).

When I was growing up, to call another girl a bitch was an indication that a physical confrontation was going to follow. Nowadays, bitch has become a household name. Women and girls alike, use the term freely as a sign of endearment. News flash ladies, a bitch is a bitch and will always be one. It does not matter how you use the term: referencing one of your girlfriends or a take charge woman who takes no nonsense, there are no positive undertones to the term. And by the way, there is no such thing as a “boss bitch.”

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines bitch as a female dog. The second definition refers to “a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman —sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse,” either or, the word bitch has no affirmative connotations. Any behavior that a bitch (female dog) conveys, other than protecting her young, should not be admired. Dogs or bitches are not monogamous, and are known for breeding in feral packs. A bitch will allow a male dog to mate with her out in the open public, with no discretion whatsoever. Unlike cats, bitches have no discretion in defecating. Bitches display a destructive behavior, such as biting, jumping, pulling clothing with the teeth and chasing objects, in addition to fighting and whining when they are in heat. Overall, they are destructive. It’s in their nature, that’s why they have to be trained because they have no sense of boundaries or restrictions, thus, why bitches don’t go to heaven.

Remember ladies, the next time your girlfriend calls you a bitch, you need to politely correct her.

XOXO,

Jay

Are You She That He Findeth With a Handsome Face?

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance… (Proverbs 15:13).

A pretty woman can have an ugly countenance.  The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines countenance as the face as an indication of mood, emotion, or character. I once heard a male friend make reference to a pretty reality star as being ugly; I rebutted his statement with, “She is definitely not ugly.” He refuted with, “Yes, she is. She’s obnoxious and unhappy. You can see all the deception - she wears it all on her face, which makes her very ugly. So men will avoid her like the plague because she comes with a lot of issues.” Yes, ladies, this is true, we wear our emotional baggage on our face: envy, spiteful, jealousy, anger, and any other unfavorable emotion.

It does not matter how pretty we are on the outside, if our inside is an emotional wreck. A man will use your countenance as a tell-tale sign of what lies ahead if he is to pursue a relationship with you. Are you approachable, bearing a smile or does your face always looks like you've been sucking on a lemon?

Ladies remember, before you step out the house, look in the mirror and check that countenance; it may be a sign that you’ve got some stuff to workout.

XOXO,

Jay
