A Man Beyond Your Dreams

Every woman wants to be loved by the opposite sex. We will go to the ends of the world to look for love in all the wrong places, only to end up with our heart in broken pieces and to no avail, still feeling lonely and unloved. The type of love that we search for cannot be sought. It’s a type of love that can fill a void in our hearts that no man can fill, regardless of how much a man loves us. It’s Jesus’ love. His love is innocent, without limits, everlasting, long-suffering, and fulfilling. There are not enough words in the world dictionary to describe His infinite love for us. When we stop looking for love in all the wrong places and decide to fall in love with Jesus, we will come to understand our worth, because we realize that His love is perfect and genuine. We will learn that the love we have been searching for this whole time, only exist in the man beyond our dreams #Jesus. And Jesus’ love comes with guaranteed benefits:
  •  Jesus opens doors for you ….. I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name (Rev 3:8).
  • Jesus always thinks good thoughts about you…. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jer 29:11).
  • Jesus promises to always love you and not even death can separate you from Him… For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Rom 8:38:39).
  •   Jesus promises to provide for you … But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19).
  •  Jesus promises to never leave you… Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (Deut 31:6).
  •  Jesus is a man that has died for you… For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit (1 Pet 3:18).
  •  Jesus promises to protect you… Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness (Is 41:10).
  •  Jesus doesn’t bring up your past mistakes … For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (Heb 8:12).

What more could a girl ask for?

Remember to smile ladies, because Jesus LOVE YOU.

A Nasty Woman’s Disease

A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones (Prov. 14:30).

When you are peaceful and content, it literally does your body good (www.shape.com); however, when you’re unhappy and disgruntled, it brings on many challenges, such as, envy, which is detrimental to one’s physical and mental well-being. Envy is defined as emulating, coveting, having an ill will or detraction, and a fervent indignation towards another person.

Envy is like a cancerous disease that spreads throughout every part of your life, affecting anything and anyone in your path. When you are envious of another woman, you will dislike her for no reason at all. You will make every effort a competition. You will pursue every opportunity to bring her down, whether it’s with your words or your actions. Because you’re so busy hating on or trying to emulate the next woman, you miss out on life’s opportunities that God brings your way. You are completely oblivious to all the blessings that God has bestowed upon you because you’re so diligent in trying to persuade others not to like her as well. When you have become so inundated with trying to throw another woman off her course, you will stunt your growth into becoming the woman that God has intended you to be.

Envy starts off as a small seed, but then it cultivates into stages. Following are some of the stages and symptoms of envy:

1.     Ungrateful and always complaining
2.     Comparing yourself to other women
3.     Always talking about or against other women
4.     Working ill intent against another woman

Remember ladies, be grateful and content for who you are and where you are. And if that’s not good enough, then do something to change your circumstances or behavior. Because hating on another woman for who she is or what she has will get you nowhere fast.

XOXO,

Jay

Bitches Don’t Go to Heaven

For [heaven] without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosover loveth and maketh a lie (Rev 22:15).

When I was growing up, to call another girl a bitch was an indication that a physical confrontation was going to follow. Nowadays, bitch has become a household name. Women and girls alike, use the term freely as a sign of endearment. News flash ladies, a bitch is a bitch and will always be one. It does not matter how you use the term: referencing one of your girlfriends or a take charge woman who takes no nonsense, there are no positive undertones to the term. And by the way, there is no such thing as a “boss bitch.”

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines bitch as a female dog. The second definition refers to “a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman —sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse,” either or, the word bitch has no affirmative connotations. Any behavior that a bitch (female dog) conveys, other than protecting her young, should not be admired. Dogs or bitches are not monogamous, and are known for breeding in feral packs. A bitch will allow a male dog to mate with her out in the open public, with no discretion whatsoever. Unlike cats, bitches have no discretion in defecating. Bitches display a destructive behavior, such as biting, jumping, pulling clothing with the teeth and chasing objects, in addition to fighting and whining when they are in heat. Overall, they are destructive. It’s in their nature, that’s why they have to be trained because they have no sense of boundaries or restrictions, thus, why bitches don’t go to heaven.

Remember ladies, the next time your girlfriend calls you a bitch, you need to politely correct her.

XOXO,

Jay

Are You She That He Findeth With a Handsome Face?

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance… (Proverbs 15:13).

A pretty woman can have an ugly countenance.  The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines countenance as the face as an indication of mood, emotion, or character. I once heard a male friend make reference to a pretty reality star as being ugly; I rebutted his statement with, “She is definitely not ugly.” He refuted with, “Yes, she is. She’s obnoxious and unhappy. You can see all the deception - she wears it all on her face, which makes her very ugly. So men will avoid her like the plague because she comes with a lot of issues.” Yes, ladies, this is true, we wear our emotional baggage on our face: envy, spiteful, jealousy, anger, and any other unfavorable emotion.

It does not matter how pretty we are on the outside, if our inside is an emotional wreck. A man will use your countenance as a tell-tale sign of what lies ahead if he is to pursue a relationship with you. Are you approachable, bearing a smile or does your face always looks like you've been sucking on a lemon?

Ladies remember, before you step out the house, look in the mirror and check that countenance; it may be a sign that you’ve got some stuff to workout.

XOXO,

Jay

Are You She That He Findeth With a Sense of Style?

She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple (Prov. 31:22).

I once heard a famous successful comedian say that the way a man dresses is an exemplification of his thought process, for example, a forty-year old man who still wears baggy and saggy pants has not mentally transitioned from boyhood - this ideology rings true for women as well. And I don’t know any grown woman that wants ANY man who dresses with his pants hanging off his butt.

The way we dress is an extension of our personality. When we step out in public, the first thing that anyone notices about us is our outwardly apparel. Your wardrobe will introduce itself before your smile will.

Ladies, look at your outwardly wardrobe as a book cover to an exciting book that is anticipating to be read. The best-selling books always have a book cover that leaves room for an imagination. No one wants to purchase a book when the entire cover tells the whole story. Why bother reading it when the whole plot is on the front cover. There is nothing left finding out.

What does your, “book cover” say about you?

XOXO,

Jay

Are You She That He Findeth, Romantic?

Let all your things be done with charity (1 Corinthians. 16:14).

On my birthday, a few of my coworkers decided to throw me a surprise party. When I arrived in the company cafeteria, I found a strawberry whipped cream cake on display – my favorite, along with my favorite pasta. I instantly became overwhelmed with tears and couldn’t stop crying. My coworkers asked why I was crying and I told them that I greatly appreciated the time they took to make my birthday so special, considering my dad, whose birthday was on the same day as mine, had passed away two years prior, so sometimes birthdays are really hard for me. What was so heartfelt about this moment is that even though they only knew me for a short time, they paid enough attention to go out of their way to make me happy. I don’t ever remember telling them that my dad’s birthday was on the same day as mine or my favorite birthday cake was strawberry whipped cream, but they took the time to get to know me and find out what I liked. Until this day, that sweet gesture still romances my heart.

We don’t have to wait until we are in a relationship or on Valentine’s Day to be romantic. Dictionary.com defines romantic as displaying or expressing love or strong affection. When most people think of romantic, they make reference to an act towards a significant other or spouse; however, an expression of your love should not just be limited to a significant other. You can demonstrate love all year long by doing something that makes someone else feel special or happy. If you’re out Christmas shopping and you find a green sweater that you think would be cute on your cousin, but you are aware that your cousin doesn’t like green, would you buy the sweater anyway?

Remember ladies, being romantic is about removing yourself from the picture and seeking to fulfill another’s happiness, rather than your own.

XOXO,

Jay

Are You She That He Findeth, Understanding?

Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding (Prov. 4:7).

We all want an understanding man, one that is attentive to our emotions and our needs, a good listener, and can express his emotional needs as well; however, are we understanding? Understanding is a two-way street. We cannot receive understanding if we are not willing to listen, pay attention, and assess the situation before verbally responding. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, understanding is the knowledge and ability to judge a particular situation or subject; an informal agreement; a willingness to understand people's behavior and forgive them. And according to the Bible, understanding is intelligence, discretion, skillfulness, wisdom and the ability to reason.

We are not born with understanding. Understanding comes with life experience and the willingness to sacrifice oneself for the edification of others. For example, if you have been waiting all week long for your man to take you to your favorite restaurant on your birthday, only for that day to arrive and find that your man has succumb to the flu, but he insists that you both go out anyway. What would you do? Would you take his advice and go anyway or would you understand that he doesn’t feel well, without him having to take a rain check? This is where wisdom comes into place – having the ability to reason. If you choose to take a rain check and go another day, how do you think that will make him feel because you chose to put his needs before your wants?

Ladies, let’s practice understanding with each other:

1.     Assess your girlfriend’s mood before inundating her with gossip; she may need an ear for you to listen and a shoulder to cry on.
2.     When she tells you about yourself, don’t get defensive, hear her out without interrupting.
3.     STOP talking for once and pay attention to body language – a person can say a whole lot without saying anything at all.

XOXO,

Jay
